The delusional view that we have dominion over the Earth has spelled disaster for nature through almost complete environmental degradation. This dangerous view is propagated by two main camps who work closely together: large corporations and Christian fundamentalists. The former regard nature as a resource to be exploited in order to maximize profits and the latter claim dominion over nature, and thus have equal disregard for it. Indeed some Christian fundamentalists even welcome the destruction of nature with joy as this (or alternatively another world war) will herald the day of rapture! Recently these two groups have entered into an unholy alliance, which is undermining American democracy as both parties hold misanthropic tenets. If the corporate-sponsored climate change deniers and Bible bashers get their way doomsday may come sooner than later.
